several video's from camcorder edited and saved as MPEG2 files .Want to burn them on DVD with a menu structure so that different files can be reached immediately.Program announces 'bad file format'. Can I do this without recoding all this files to AVI again? With Nero f.I.??? Conclusion: I want a menu on MPEG2 files without recoding.

in my most honest opinion Nero is trash for dvd authoring, this is not fact but i dont believe that you can guve Nero anything that it wont transcode ...i say this because ive attempted to give it a fully dvd complient mpg file and i still transcoded it ...and in Nero transcoding drops the quality

i suggest you use a different authoring tool here are a bunch a couple are free but most have a fully functional trail (my fav is dvd lab):

nero vision has never dropped quality for me except maybe once or twice but not so much that i would complain.

if you want menu's your probably going to have to recode the movie.....
