I took a video file off my camcorder and it was an mpeg file. I wanted to open it with adobe premier but said i needed and avi file so im looking for a program to help me?

Many programs (e.g. Power Video Converter, Advanced X Video Converter) can do this, but what are you intending to do with the mpeg?

I am trying to convert the mpeg to an AVI so adobe premier will let me use it.

I recommend Xilisof video converter. It is a good choice to convert mpeg to AVI. You can download and try it at [removed]
