My video that i downloaded from a site is not playing. it says

error-2048:the file is not a movie.

what do i do to make it a movie. i can not convert it to an mp4, when i do it turns to 1kb(which i no isn't right).

this is where i got it.

its powered by sony and i think its lagit. I have got a few clips here before but they worked, i don't know how but they did.

hell figured out one part. i changed it to where it could be opened on the net. it works but i still can't convert it.

well to tell you the truth i just figured it out. it took two hours but i still found it. but now it is to big, is it normal to get a five minute clip in 44mb (i know it isn't but anyway) is there any way to shrink it. thats what i guess i need to know now.

It depends on the quality of the video you are encoding my HDTV 40 minute vids take 350mb so 5 min for 44mb is normal.
Maybe you can try encoding with lower settings eg. in video9 320x240/15fps/216kbps/96
You should get a smaller file. Other then that sorry i dont know
