sound sinchronicity problems with studio 9.4.3

how's it going guys? i kind of new to this. i have a couple of questions regarding pinnacle studio 9.4.3. but 1st a little history. i purchased the ATI all-in-wonder 2006 edition card(256mb of video memory)to capture tv to my hdd. i have a dell dimension 4600 w/ winxp home,p4 2.4ghz, 512mb ddr ram(which i upped to 1280mb). it's a pretty niffty card with a lot of inputs for capturing including a coaxial input.my goal,when purchasing this card, was to capture some of my favorite tv programs and burn them to dvd. i could've bought a stand alone unit to do this(and am still considering it) but i needed a new video card anyway. the card came with all the drivers plus pinnacle studio 9.3. i downloaded the newest version 9.4.3 and started playing around with it. at first pinnacle wouldn't let me burn to dvd which wasn't a big problem because i have clonedvd and nero if need be. i notified pinnacle and they sent me the codecs for encoding mpeg2 plus the sound codec for dolby digital 2.0. i haven't had any problems rendering like mentioned in the other forums. but i have noticed on thing. sometimes the sound won't be in sync with the video. i usually shut down all programs running in the background including the screensaver as to free up system resources.
1. is this a common problem with studio 9?
2. do i have enough memory? (went from 512 to 1280)
