i can't install my PS2-linux!!!

I've got that PS2 Linux 1.28 from torrent, it contains 2 DVD image-files.

after i burn it using nero. I can't open it with my PS2.

What wrong with my system? How can I test it?

I want to test it before I go out and buy network adapte and HDD.
Please help?Do I need any modChip?

it takes a mod to boot the disks.

Does anyone have the installation manual for PS2 linux?

I never tried any game downloading from bittorrent, so I want to make sure that linux can install by usual.
