I have been trying to burn with Nero and I keep getting burn process failed. I've burned numerous discs from this software but for some unknown reason it will give me this error from time to time. Any help given would be much appreciated. I tried burning at its maximum speed which is 4X and had to bump it down to a slower speed of 2.4X. Here's what the error log read:

First, you have very low memory. I would say 500Mb would be minimum for burning DVDs.
Also your Nero version is behind. 6.6.0.18 is available

Your driver doesn't like the media you are using. I couldn't find your media code. What is it/ Use some good stuff, like Verbatims, TY, Sony or Maxell MIJ.
Also, edit your serial number it starts 1A20...

First I went out and bought some Maxell DVD Rs. I was unsuccessful in my attempts to burn anything. Here's my log from that:

I've tried updating my Nero software. Now that it is updated any time I go to add a file to burn it says that Nero is not responding. Do any of you experienced burners out there recommend any specific software for burning it, other than Nero? What type of memory do I need to add to get this actually working so that I can burn DVDs again? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Did you buy the Maxell Made in Japan?
You still have VERY low RAM memory( I think 500Mb would be minimum), and you are burning too fast. Slow down to X4. Also,defragment your drive often ,especially if you download stuff.
I would also update Nero;
