I am modding my ps2 i would like to know what modchip i should get for my particular need.

I have a version 4 ps2
i want to be able to boot games using the modchip off of my internal hdd

i want to be able to boot movies off my external hdd

i want to be able to play music and other emulators off of my hdd too.

Please Help

Thankyou, and also thankyou for the ps2 battery problem the forum (PS2 FREEZES AT BOOOTUP--i am going to try a new battery and then i will update you--a brand new energizer battery(From the store)(Not my desk drawer)

No problem,
Try Duracell, they are the best brand for batteries IMO.

Thanks man i got the battery and it works--another solution to a problem. And also do you know any good ways to take superglue off of plastic?

For any newbs (like myself( at least to this forum )) if your ps2 freezes up and will not let you choose any options and you dont feel like spending a fortune on "OFFICIAL HELP" just open the ps2 check the controller port cable running to the motherboard and replace the cmos battery-for fixing disk read error just open up the ps2 and get some canned air and blast away the dust and check all the cables- and if worst comes to worst go to RICHSPX Parts --search it in google- and buy a new laser- or motor or the whole damn thing.

Just trying to be nice because it took me about 3 months to find all of this information. Later---email me if you have a broken ps2 you ae willing to give me- i'manidiot.com edited by ddp
