I get the DRE. I can't fix the alignment. I have the 40GB HDD that sony put out a few years ago. Can i get games downloaded on to it and boot from that AND play my saved games (off of mem card OR HDD)?

Thanks

with a chip that supports Dev mode you can, if you don't have a chip that supports that currently i recommend you get a DMS4 Pro SE and have someone flash you to Toxic OS 0.41 via a memory card upgrade, then you'll never need the CD/DVD drive to access the HDD. keep in mind not all games are compatible from the HDD but the Toxic OS is the most updated software that supports the most games and is constantly improving the game compatibility.

the DMS will save you from doing that again after you get it flashed the first time, after that you can upgrade via the USB the HDD or the MC.
