I've finally got the program that allows me to burn my downloaded movies onto dvds. The only problem is when I play them in a dvd player...they stall or turn funny colors or there is chunks of the picture missing...what am I doing wrong...PLEASE HELP!!!!

Which progs are you using? & what speed do you write at?

AMD Athlon 64 3800 X2, 1GB RAM, 200GB HDD.

Divxtodvd is the program I use. I think it burns at 8x

slow your burn speed to 4X make sure your using good quality media like sony or verbatim

DivxToDVD has now upgradedto a prog called ConvertX, if you already own DivXtoDVD I believe you can update to the new prog, it also has a burn engine.
Slow your burn speed to 4X, use good media and stay away from Memorex as they cause problems during burning.

you can download the free version of DVDInfo Pro so you can get the manufacturers ID to compare with the list: http://www.dvdinfopro.com/
