I bought this $99 recorder at Radio Shack. called Persidian.
It looks the same style as the lite on I had. It has worked well so far burning from DVD and VHS. I hooked the DVD recorder up to my DVR and it didn't work so well. coloring/lighting was funky. oh well, I don't need it to record off of TV anyway. I made a DVD-R, it does -R and +R. the -R didn't play on my old DVD player from 2000. but it worked fine on the other 2 DVD players I have. anyone have any dealings with this small unit ?

my lite-on LVW 5005 is broken. bought it from buy.com Nov 25th. It's broken now, early February. I email liteon for help with my warranty. They say send it back to where you bought it. I tell buy.com, they say it's been over 30 days, can't help you. So now I have written lite-on back and am waiting for a response. Lite-on better help me, those lazy bastards.
