hi am getting my video perfectly... but no audio even while watching channels. my onboard audio is via' ac97 enhanced controller..
am using windows xp.. no sound from any jack on the rear panel of tuner card... also from sound card.... sonds from others such as media player are coming very well.. my mother board is via vesta with vt8235 chipset
my tuner card has CONEXANT FUSION 878A chipset on it...
i got it from a friend, he was not having a driver cd... i tried so many drivers from avermedia, bt878, philips, adcom , mercury... but no one worked for my audio problem.. its rear panel has the following ports in order... (svhs) /(cabletv) /(video in) /(audio in) /(r/m) /(audio out)...
HOPE TO GET A SOLUTION SOON FROM MEMBERS...

do you have any idea of the card manufacturer and model I know several brands werent compatable with xp in the sound area

i donno exactly, but probably mercury or aver tv
do u mean v cant do any thing to solve it in xp? wil i be able to get sound if i instal win98?

you could try everest home edition to give you an id on your card

or

try this driver its very good for xp on the bt878 chipset cards alot of tools and info available on the site too

Conexant Fusion 878A
Tuner: Philips FI1236
O.S.: Windows Xp

I dont have sound, only video...
