When you say you burn with DVD Shrink, you really mean Nero right? Make sure that you are booktyping with Nero, you can do this in DVD Shrink on the last tab of the backup window.

ifound that dvd's that got made by DVD Shrink can't be played by all players.. i've tried a couple of shrink programs.. and the most play able shrink program is shrinkto5.. http://www.shrinkto5.com/software.asp
now i still love DVD Shrink but with my new sony dvd play i can't veiw my back's.. i tried shrinkto5 with my new dvd i shrink.. and it plays fine on sony dvd player.. i tried that easy dvd and found it was a pay ver. of shrinkto5.. i did my home work and if you have a dvd player that won't play your back ups with DVD Shrink.. try shrinkto5.. it seems to work with all dvd players i treid it on..

How is Shrink set up to burn? Automatically with Decrypter or Nero? As long as you can get the movie free of protection to your hard drive and Shrink to DVD-5 disc size, i think everything else is your burning process. There are many problems with Shrink and Decrypter with newer movies unless you add extra process like VobBlanker.

Sorry Ashroy01, I didn't see where CoreBus said Nero so I had to ask.
I was under the impression that ripping (original disc to hard drive), shrinking to fit a DVD5 disc, and burning to a blank were three different processes. If the first 2 steps worked I think its the old "always use good media/drivespeed" dilemna.

Many, many people around here will argue with your assertion

dvd shrink is a garbage media program
Just because you couldn't get it to work doesnt mean its garbage.
Glad you found a way to work it out, but I'll take many people's happiness over one persons discontent any day.

If you had a clue what you were doing, you would know that you don't need DVD Shrink to transcode to a DVD-9. DVD Decrypter would have done the job by it's lonesome the whole time. Since you were trying to use a compression tool for a disc that requires no compression makes no sense, so you I guess you got what you paid for.

Don't put down an excellent proggy because you don't know how to use it.
