i have a psp vesion 1.51. My question is what is my psp scanning for and is there a way to connect to the internet other than wireless. Also my computor does nothing when i plug my psp using the usb cord.
Thank you for any help you give me. Yes i am a newbie does it show? lol

wehn you plug ur psp to the usb port did you select USB connection?
ANd your psp is scanning for acess points, in other words wifi networks, so that it can connect, if you find 1 with good strenght and no security select easy on settings and you should have free internet from that person, and because you have 1.5 you need the ' Wipeout web browser' or 'fired up', google fo it.

1. do 1.52 psp's have a browser????????? unless you have the fired up browser or wipeout.
2. its scanning for wireless and no.
3. you have to put the psp in usb mode.
4. before you ask - no you cant use the internet via usb

sorry puter down for a couple of days. Yes my psp was looking for a wireless lan and no it didn't find any. So when i plug my usb into the computer that is just basicly for downloading then? I appreciate the help.

You cant get on the internet by plugging in the usb, what r u tryin to load to the psp, and what version of windows r u using?

latinleo you are saying it right. there are a number of programs that you have to download to your computer then put on your psp. the thing is you can download things from the internet. but that is mostly firmware and junk.
if you want to know what you can download heres some things.
movies
iso's-do not ask me i don't know anything about them
music
images
gamesaves
pretty much thats it, besides other stuff that i don't know about.
if you need any help on these things go to the stikied threads.
and for your internet you have to have a router, and thats a whole new set of problems.
