is there an alternative to getting the power button to work? ANY WAY AT ALL :(

i.e. soldering 4 wires onto the 4 pins where the button used to be and touching them together? :(

v12 ps2 no mods no nothin...

First of all, have you got a slimline, if yes, take a picture of the damage to the power button and post it, when i see the damage i can tell you what to do?
