I can see the benefit for joint game operations... although I think Sony would still benefit more than Microsoft would in this kind of deal...
And though I see this as highly doubtful, I find it near impossible that they team up and make a console.

i think that might be a translation error because of course they are competitors but also this competition is a good thing, if microsoft doesn't put out the 360 last fall sony wouldn't be trying for this spring instead of waiting for this fall or winter which i think is what they want.

but also if sony decides not to do Blu-ray then microsoft will only use dvd9s and we wouldn't have the possibility of games that could last 100+ hours on a disc that holds 20 gigs (50 hour games on 7.5 gig discs with this gen so not unreasonalbe for a 100 hour game on 20 gig disc next gen).

but what intrigues me is if sony and microsoft get together to make a system they would lose less money cuz they are splitting the cost and they could make better games with their in house manufacteres. while others like EA could make better games cuz they don't have to have people tanslate everything for button controls and the like to make it compatable on both systems.

so that sounds like a win win to me.

hum.very interesting roumur likely to spread soon.it will be of course very amazing if sony and microsoft work togther to make the ultimate console,imagine how the graphics would look like,imagine all the data,imagine how the console it self would look like.but i find it very very very.. hard, almost imposible for sony and micrsoft,2 compeditors for almost more than half a decade,will just start working togther,these 2 companies working togther posibly means a big issue bettween them about who gets how much money.and if microsoft and sony are set to work togther how come these to companies are trying to outbeat the other company's console?
