I have a ps2 slimline here.v12.with the power on,it does start with the red light.once pressed,the light goes green as normal.i can hear the fan start up,but other than that,there is no power anywhere else.it wont boot disks,as there is no power getting there.if i try to put the ps2 back onto stand by it wont go.i could hold the switch in for hours and it will not turn red.the only way of cutting the power is to pull the power lead out.any ideas i could look into would be most helpful.or if anyone has had a similar problem,how they solved it would be great.thanks to all who have viewed this :)

no chip installed.have also checked all the cables to the drive etc.dont know what else to check.thanks to all who are helping on this problem :)
