I am about to buy a dvd burner. I already know that pioneer an NEC burners are good.

Is sony and HP good?

What are some other good brands?

Do they have to be DVD + or - r?

Do they have to be dual layer?

Do they have to be able to burn DVD + - RW?

You might as well get a multi-format burner since getting a single format doesn't save you all that much anyway.
