I am so frustrated right now. LOL. Thanks in advance to anyone who can possibly help me out with this!!!
My problem is that I'm trying to burn 4 episodes of the OC onto one 4.7GB DVD+R disk. Each episode is approximately 350 MB. I tried to do this with my Nero 6, but it says that there is not enough room on the disk. SO, I've tried shrinking the files to approx. 150 MB with Ashampoo Movie Shrink, but the files are still coming up as approx. 2.5 GB each when I open them with Nero.
Basically, what I'm dying to know is: How do I shrink each episode to about 1 GB each so that I can fit about 4 episodes onto one DVD+R disk?
The files are .avi, if that makes any difference ...
Again, big thanks to anyone who can help me with this.

the O.C. is easy to do! Use DVDDecrypter (or DVDFab Decrypter) to write the files to the Hard Drive. Then I use DVDRemake and take out all the unwanted stuff, like warning screens and unwanted menu items! Then I export the final DVD, after editing with Remake, to another folder. Once that done I use DVDRebuilder Pro with CCE to encode to a DVD-5 (4.31Gigs total)! Then burn with your favorite software. I do this same procedure with HOUSE, MOONLIGHTING or any other TV episode DVDs. Perfect quality DVDs every time with what I want in the DVD!
Don't get frustrated, just get educated and have fun burning!

Now my problem is that using DVD Rebuilder, when I try to choose my source path it says that the folder with the video files I want to burn does not contain any DVD material ...
What do I do now?
Sorry about all the questions.

ok...... did you rip the DVD to the hard drive using DVDFab Decrypter? what source path have you set up? is there a DVD there? did you read about how to use DVD-RB? Go to HELP and hit CONTENTS and you'll see guides on how to set up DVDRebuilder and how to use it! get your feet wet and do it hands on ..... that's the only way to really learn how to use this program! You'll be glad you did! Follow the guide in there!

Justme, you may want to try Nerovision again and ignore the warning about it being oversized for the target. I can fit 4 episodes using this and while it intiially says the 4 will be roughly 6-7 GB, it still burns it to a 4.3 GB disk with good enough quality for me. Can't hurt to try it.

Its a AVI. file, why would you use decrypter? Its more than likely that theres no warnings etc on it..
@justme01
If you just want to put the files on a DVD to store them just burn as a data disc with nero - 4 x 350MB = 1.4 gig which is plenty of space.
If you want to make a DVD that will play in a standalone player thats another matter...
You need to encode these avi files into a format that can be burned to DVD. Theres plenty of guides on how to encode here http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/.
Once encoded you can author the DVD with the four episodes no problem. I regularly put 6 or 7 episodes on a 4.7gig DVD.

@Haimback.... I thought he was backing up the O.C. Season 1 or 2 from DVD! that's why I would use DVDDecrypter..... otherwise I would use ConvertXtoDVD for AVI files to DVD! Thank you so much for your input!
