I just recently bought a slide card to play the import I bought, FFVII DoC, and i'm wondering if slide card is a best choice to make my PS2 read my import games...

Does anyone here had experienced your PS2 broke down because of a slide card? Thanks

As long as you are careful when using it, you should be fine. Eventually, i would upgrade to a fliptop (easier and a little safer for your ps2) and a dvd burner (so you can burn games).

V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero
