@Dlux: Do you have original Swap Disc? I mean, you don't have a slide card and that will come with the discs. Have you downloaded them and if so, will they work?

You need an original swap magic to play backups, iHackPS2.org has Swap Magic 3.6 and a slide card for 19$

just get a fliptop. you will pay a little more but have way less trouble using it than a slidecard.
which by the way is the cheapest, most annoying method for playing back up games.

For as much as these discs and tools are costing its almost just as cheap, yet way easier, to just get a modchip. Although if you can't solder you might need assistance or just to stay away.

I'm sure there are people around you that do this as a private service. Theres many people in my city that has been modding playstations for years and are very trustworthy and they install decent modchips at reasonable prices. The only trick to this method is finding a legit person.

But yea, if you can solder and have a lil extra cash and just wanna go with the much easier method then Mod it up.

Thats one of the best deals I've seen personally.

Don't get a DMS4 S.E. Pro mine is fine but the newer ones are having some problems installing Toxic OS .41 and killing the chip. Get a Crystal Chip 1.1,Matrix Infinity, or a DMS4 Pro. Don't go with some cheap modchip like a MoBo or Myth Lite

Just look up a pic of the original slidecard:

Now what you need to do is find an old creditcard or a card of equal size and material. Also get a fineliner like the special ones to write on blank CD/DVDs

Now put the slidecard on top of the creditcard (it will fit almost perfectly I tested it on my Maestro card)

Now outline the card's edges with the fineliner and cut them with a Stanleyknife.(depending on how you put the slidecard-shape on top of it, you could have your name on the cutout slidecard X-D) Be sure to cut it along all the edges, it needs to be the same shape/size as the original slidecard or it might not work.

Et voila, you will have a shiny new slidecard and it even has your name on it! X-D (if you didnt cut it out)

Hint: if you dont know anyone with the original slidecard, print out a pic of the slidecard and put it on top of your creditcard.
