softmodded xbox not readin all games

Hey i have this softmodded xbox that is having trouble reading some games, mostly "backed up" games, we where running the unleashed on it and we decided to try evox, it is doing better but still minor problems, is it the softmod or the drive?

PS we have also swapped out the hd for a different xbox hd that we had layin around so it has had a new hd and been remodded.

It'd actually prob be your disk drive. Your hdd wouldn't affect the playing of burnt games too much, or any games for a matter of fact.
