is there any way to solder an ide cable to a v14 motherboard or am i stuck with usb hdd? is there a way to view the usb hdd on the browser screen? can i use the usb hdd as a memory card?
-v7 PS2 (needs new motherboard) w/ dms 4 chip
-i386 w/ 2 80gb hdd dual booting WINXP and DEBIAN 4.0 "ETCH"

I forgot the name, but there is a specific piece you can buy to use an ide hd.
V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

yea, cuz i read somewhere that sony took the ide solder points off the ps2 on the v14.

yes, you can no longer use the HD connect with newer consoles V14+

but you can use usbxtreme with the v 14 all you need is the disc an hd and an hd enclosure

I'm also reading now that in order to use HD Connect you need a modchip

USB HDD's cannot be used for game saves but fi you buy AR Max EVO you can store you game saves on a USB Memory Stick but only for storage.
v7 w/ Crystal Chip 1.1, Boot Manager 1.8, and HD Loader v0.7c w/ 80 GB HD
v7 w/ DMS4 Pro and Toxic OS .41 w/ 200 GB HD
