I bought a dvd off of ebay. It was supposedly brand new. The legend of Billie Jean. I bought it for my girlfriend. Well turns out according to nero cd/dvd tool it was a prodisc burned with a pioneer burner. Plus they used a shitty laser printer to burn the cd image and label.
*personal details removed by admin*
Beware to all. Stay away from this seller. I scanned their other ads and I do believe they all are boot legs. Cause they all say region free dvds which is impossible. Beware to all...you have been warned.
Hopefully Ebay, Paypal, or the FBI will straighten this out.:>

There is always a risk when using eBay, it is a paradise to fraudsters. I recommend using amazon, or similar, for all cut-price internet goods :-)

Just wondering why you would buy from a seller who chooses to have their feedback private? Warning bells should have immediately gone off. Not a very commendable feedback to begin with.
Also, isn't the information that you disclosed privy only to you and the buyer? ie: name, address, and telephone #. I believe it is against Ebay's rules. You can point to user id. It is up to Ebay to deal with fraud. Not quite sure about Paypal, I believe you have to go through your bank (credit card) if the seller does not refund your transactions.
Sorry, that you got taken, I would be p/o'd too.

I really dont give a rats ass right now. That is why I posted the info. Two the number is a cell confirmed by verizon. Three I posted the info in case someone else bought a item from this dweeb and needed contact info. If Im in violation of ebay so be it. But at least the next guy will have contact info. Also I seen the feedback hidden, but since the bad far outweighed the good I thouht I would be alright.
This is the item I had bought
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9102635829&rd=...
The sad thing is the guy is running a store and all his crap is bootlegs by the look of it.

I SEE ITS TIME TO BREAK THE ICE,
"Brrr!"
This guy walks into a pub with a gremlin sitting on his shoulder. He sits at the bar and orders a pint and a half of lager.
The gremlin downs his half-pint, runs long the bar, dips his head in a blokes beer and goes, "Brrr!".
The guy orders another pint and a half. The gremlin repeats the performance. The bloke grabs the gremlin by the neck, shakes him up a bit, and says, "Listen, if you ever do that again I'll cut yer balls off!"
The gremlin says, "Ain't got none!" "Well, I'll cut off yer weener!" "Ain't got one of them, neither." says the gremlin.
"Well, how do ya pee?"
The gremlin smiled and said, "Brrr!"

LOL Ireland.
@Ozzy214,
I hope you reported them for fraud to Ebay even though they refunded your money. That's the best way to stop these people.
Btw. I remember that movie, very good one.

Oh dont worry yes I did. I also reported to the fbi online and then called the local agency. Althouh the fbi said they couldnt do much unless ebay starts a legal thing with the feds. Shame really.
Personalyl i never saw the movie, but my girlfriend loved it.:>

I wonder why that is with Ebay. I spend a lot of time in the receivers/amplifiers forum and I've seen it happen time and time again where someone will buy an AVR and its a dud...they're not buying from individuals either but merchants so fortunately, they were able to get their money back....but still, seems too frequent to be coincidence.

I bought a dvd off of ebay once. I searched everywhere, blockbuster, hollywood video, circuit city, best buy, netflix, google, ect. Turns out the movie was no longer in production, In english anyway. Finally I checked ebay, found it, bid on it, and won it. I got an email 2 days later from ebay telling me not to complete the transaction with the seller, do to some information they couldn't share with me. I'd already sent the money order. (my loss), A week later I got the movie, it was a bootleg. It played fine, and I'd rather have a copy of the dvd than no dvd at all. I figured why complain, I spent so much time searching for the movie, you'd think I was in it. But that's just my experience.

I wish I'd read this first. I tried to buy "Yellwbeard", a great movie but not available on DVD except where someone records it onto DVD from VHS. I paid the same day I won the auction, but no product came. Like you I sent emails and made phone calls but as yet there has been no response. I just opened a case with paypal. Maybe after enough of us get shafted they will lock account (or probably just force her to open another account under a different name).
