hi

im looking forward to rip some dvd's soon
and i would like to know what i can expect from my machine in terms of speed
i have
1.33Tbird
256mb Sdram
soon 12-16x DVD propperly pioneer
IBM GXP 45gb 7200rmp ata100

how long will it take me aprox to rip a dvd ?

Hmm, seems to be leaving you quite a few messages tonight, my system is: 1.33 T'bird, 256 DDR Ram, 41.1 IBM ATA100 HD
About 4 mins to rip the VOB file, about 40 mins using DVD2AVI and just over 2hrs to convert to MPEG1 using TMPGEnc, so just under 3 hrs from start to finish for 66 mins(3 episodes of the simpsons off DVD). Hope that helps.
