Looks like the wife and I are getting a divorice. Its been about a year in the making and we are both to blame and we both want out. We have agreed to make nice for the sake of our daughter. She is the humber one thing in our life right now. Anybody know of some cheap yet safe apartments in the eastern Cincinnati area?

I am sorry to hear that your marriage didn't work out, but I would like to give you and your soon-to-be-EX mad props for realizing the priorities in your lives and doing the right thing for your daughter. I have seen too many ugly divorces where the children really suffer and are used between the two parties to hurt the other parties. You are truly doing the right thing and being a man by sticking it out so that your daughter will still have a normal life. I guarantee you she will have a much better life if you and your ex get along and are civil with each other...she will thank you in the future.

My heart goes out to the many children of such broken marriages who suffer much pain as result of their parents' action. It is never easy for anyone to go through what you have gone through, or perhaps are even going through right now.

I wish you the best,
I hope you can maintain a positive relationship with
both your daughter and your ex.
Keep your head up!

This ones for you...

I hope one day your daughter realizes what good parents you actually are. It takes alot of courage to be able to just call a spade a spade and be civil about it.

I wish you the best.

Just an update all. She went squirrly on me. She went out of her way to pi$$ me off and she was suprised that I actually started fighting back. Well, she moved out. We switched the phone into my name along with the internet access. She was pissed that I changed the password on the email account LOL. Right now the daughter is with me and I have her next weekend as well. The wife and I are almost talking again. I hope that we can maintin the detante that we are working on. Thanks for the beer guys, it was needed.

I hope that she mellows out a little bit. She did make a confession to me. Basicaly she has been in an afair for the last 9 years(Damn aint women sneaky). It is pretty much over for us. I was willing to try to make things work but not now. Time to take some time off of women and do things that I want to do. Anyone in the market for a almost new 3800 sqft house in the Cincinnati area. I may give an afterdawn discount!

Edit Had to fix some spacing.

Wow, it truely breaks my heart to hear things like that. I was raised in a way to beleive that cheating is near worse than anything. I'm so very sorry to hear that she's been going behind your back for nine years. As JXP2307 said your a better man than I, if I learned that she was jeapordizing the family in such a way things would surely get ugly.

Hold your head up sir. Your at the bottom of a hill and things can only get better from here.

It bothers me, too, when marriages break up. Marriage is great, but it is also work, by both sides. Two days ago, my wife and I celebrated our 36th anniversary.

We were kids when we got married. I was 20, and she was 18. The first 14 months that we were married, I saw her for only 17 days, because I did a stint overseas in the Army. We have not always had smooth sailing, but we both love each other enough, that we worked through some very rough times. It ain't easy folks, but I can't imagine spending whatever years I have left, with anyone else.

Christ93, our biggest problems came after we had been married for 12 years. We went to marriage counselling, which ended up being the best thing that we ever did. The facts are, lack of proper communication between us, was our problem. It can be a problem for every marriage. I am really sorry that things did not work out for you.

The man that she has been with... lets just say that she gets what she deserves. The only thing that concerns me about that is that my daughter may be exposed to him. If he so much as even looks at her funny he is going to think its the end of the world.

JX

It may be a little bumpy now, all that I can tell you to do is to TALK to each other, and dont forget to listen to each other as well. And one last bit of advice, never go to bed angry with each other. Towards the end we violated that rule. Dont forget to pay attention to each other.

Like I said both of us were to blame. I got emotionally involved with another woman. What I did pales in comparison to what she had done. Like I said at the top of the page, we are both to blame.

Things are getting better. We talk things out a lot. I also took her to romantic little bed and breakfast.... She loved that.

Thanks for the advice. I will take heed and fix whatever is splintered before it turns into a break.

Only been married 7 months but knew the girl for 7 years. We've already done all the dumbshit and lived so with a daughter on the way we married. I have lived through divorce of my parents with my sister and have seen and felt the effects. Good luck.

A man doesnt know what he's missing until he gets married...
Then its too late.

i get a laugh out of this,my bride always says this about ye youngsters it must be the food ye are eating to day as to why a man and women can not get along after ye are married.

my take on this, when ye get married both want to wear the pants.

Amen. That was exactly our problem. We decided she was to have one pant leg, and I the other!

Ireland's bride is from Ireland... I am entirely shocked! LOL.

the secret to a good marriage is that ye bride should always let a man think ye's the boss at all times..while in the back ground very softly ye bride pulls the strings..

i say this to my bride,i am the king and boss of the house and this marriage, she says yes dear that i hear a soft chuckle..as she turns and walks away..to cook me meal or what ever..
we never fight over whos the boss,as we are in this together..

my second take on why a marriage goes bad is
MONEY PROBLEMS
