Hi there,
I was using Nero 6.6.0.6 for quite awhile. I got a new Dell Inspiron 6000 a couple months back and it has a DVD burner in it. I started backing up some of my DVD's and it worked fine for a couple weeks. Then all of a sudden, last week it stopped working. It would no longer burn at 8x and even burning at 2.5x it would just make coasters. I upgraded to the demo copy of Nero 7 to see if it would solve the problem, but it did not.
I've tried:
a) Uninstalling the drive and reinstalling it (drivers)
b) Uninstalling the secondary IDE controller and reinstalling it
c) Physically taking the drive out and reseating it
d) Reinstalling my ASPI layer
e) Changed media to Verbatim
f) Looked for a newer driver (couldn't find one)
g) Burning at lower speeds and using advanced analysis
I tried again today and here is the log of what happen. Any help or insite would be greatly appreciated.
