connecting xbox to PC

in order for me to connect my xbox to my PC, what would i do. I have the following:
Comcast Modem
2 Ethernet Cords
Crossover Cord
Hub
All i have in the back of my xbox is an ethernet port(1)
Do i need a TV near my computer to do this?
Now the problem is do i have to be in my hackedbios, say for instance, evox, to connect, or can i just connect from MS Dashboard(Settings, Network Settings) because my bios has been flashed but now FRAO's when i start it up. Any help?

you need modded xbox to connect to pc for ftp.

I do have a modded xbox, the thing is i dont know what it is because my brother bought it and his friend pretty much changed a lot of stuff on it and he doesnt even kow what version and all that we have. Is there a way that i can put another dashboard on there by putting it on a cd/rw without getting the backup file. or u think i should just take my hard drive outta my xbox, hook it up to my computer, and do it that way?

thx a lot man, its just i need to no how to hook it up and i cant find it in there....like i need step for step where to hook the cords up too. if u can find it in there just post that "part" in a reply....thx a lot tho man..
I also wanted to know if i needed a tv near my comp to hook xbox up to PC...

ok no you dont need a tv you can have one if you want, if you have a router you would go wall-modem-ethernetcable-hub-ethernetcable-xbox-ethernetcable-comp it doesnt matter which cord u use sence you have a hub

RRR i do that also nothing works. I also changed all the IP's and stuff. Is it possible to FTP to regular MS Dashboard?

u know any program that can flash a bios, so i can just put it on a DVD-R, load it up on MS dash, and flash the bios?
Or is there even such a prog?

yea but that wont load up on regular MS Dash...will it?
if it does, what type of DVD media do i use(CD/DVD+-RW)
everytime i tried to burn it to a DVD-R with dummy files and stuff it wont read disc.
also, dont u need to softmod before doin that?

Hello I'm completely new to all of this,but I have a modded XBOX(Aladdin chip) and when i turn it on i see an EVOX logo at the top of the screen. How do i configure EVOX and i need to know how to set up the crossover cable. do i connect one end into the computer & the other end to my XBOX?.Also when I downloaded an Evox Installer but when i try to change the Static IP & the IP address it doesn't save it. I know these are alot of questions but I just want to do this right without screwing up my XBOX?
