Hello all,
I've read thru all the topics in this forum's archives relating to audio syncing and I believe I have a framerate problem in that my .avi seems to start on sync and gets progressively worse, though it is hard to tell it is definitely a few seconds off by the time you see someone's lips move.
I have tried twice using this site's "Copy your DVD into DivX5 format - Guide for 169 anamorphic movies". The first time using the Inverse Telecine (IVTC) Option and the second time not using it. Both produced .avi with out of sync audio but the non-IVTC was far worse.
Here's a little info on the DVD in question:
"Friday" 89 minutes,
From DVD2AVI:
Aspect Ration 16:9
Frame Rate 29.970 fps
Video Type:
Starts as NTSC, then after a few seconds of previewing goes to NTSC 80%, then after a few more seconds goes to FILM 39% then FILM 50% then continues to climb and then stay at FILM 97 or 98% and finally to FILM 99%
Frame Type : Flashes back and forth between Progessive and Interlaced
Audio Format: DD 2/0 192
DVTool yeilds a 1680 Kbits with a Movie length of 89 minutes and an audio format of 160Kb
The video comes out great and the audio sounds good but they do not sync...
As a side note, I am using Windows XP and if I right click on the finished AVI and go to the summary tab, the first avi (IVTC method) the Audio Duration is listed at 1:31:07 and in the second avi (non-IVTC) it is 1:31:29. But as I've noted, the movie is proportedly 89 minutes long... which would of course be 1:29:00. I am VERY new to this whole thing and perhaps the 89 minutes is the running time of the movie not counting the publishers intro screen stuff... But what happened to the other 22 seconds??
What the heck am I missing?!?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated and thanks in advance!!
