I've been battling with liteon with this one, maybe someone could help me because they've just left me haning.
I have the liteon ez dub 167SU
I tried installing on my windows me, it detects the hardware but no driver, so I download what liteon tells me and it still not the right driver. I put them on floppy and it still won't recognize them. Windows me and 2000 are supposed to have drivers already available on the system, but apparently mine is missing something?
I know you cannot use the ez dub feature on windows me, but it can be used an external dvd r all the same.
Liteon's excuse now is maybe this external dvdr does not work on 98 or me and it's a misprint on their website and boxes and also every review ever done on it. Sounds like they have no idea and can't help me.
does anyone else use this on windows me?
Does anyone have any tips?
Thanks!

Yeah i'm having the same problem with the drive. I download the drivers and it still doesn't work and i'm using 98. I don't get it Liteon doesn't know. I might just take it back. If you have any kind of breakthough could you let me know. If I figure this thing out I'll tell you. Thanks

I didn't get it figured out. I took it back and installed their internal dvd writer. I do know that the ez dub features will not work on anything but xp but liteon states it can be used as a plug and play dvd writer (computer treats it as cdrom drive as with an internal) but my system wouldn't recognize it.
I got tired of messing with it, now I have one that works so I am happy. Just didn't want to have to tear into my tower(more work!lol)
Hope you have better luck!
