Will a psp run without a umd drive at all? My reasoning is if it doesn't need the drive couldn't you install internal flash memory where the UMD drive is? I don't even use my UMD drive. I play homebrews on mine and load movies. I think it would be a great spot to add memory without making the psp larger.

Theres no reason for a flash drive to be there, you have a memory stick slot. Also theres a device neo2in1 compact flash, it fits on the umd cover and you dont even know its there unless you look at it.
Rumuor has it PSP2 will come with some kind of built in mem anyway, why couldnt it have been my psp

Well if someone wants to mod their psp to allow flash drives then thats upto them :)

I personaly have no idea how you go about that though, or wheather the psp will work with the drive missing.
