When I split a large mpeg file the 2nd file does not play.
I have used an old version .24 and a newer version .40 of dv tools.
Changing the ext does not work either.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem.

Try TMPGEnc, click file - mpeg tools and click the merge and cut tab!

Click add to add an mpeg file and then click edit to make a selection. Click ok and then change the video type to whatevcer you want and type an output and click run

Thats basically it, lol
