I am trying to burn a dvd using dvd shrink and nero.. but as its analyzing a error pops up saying data error cycle redundancy check.. Im almost certain this has to do with the new protection codes on the new dvds... If so can someone give me a solution on how to correct this problem ??? I thank you for your comments ...

If you don't have AnyDVD, try ripping the disc using DVDFab Decrypter first. Then process the files you get with DVDFab Decrypter through VobBlanker. Once you've done this, just open the files you got from VobBlanker in DVD Shrink. Everything should work normally with no errors. If you get errors by doing this, then there is something wrong with the disc.

The disc you have is probably a bad press then. Since AnyDVD didn't work, try the method I posted if you haven't tried it yet. If you're still getting the same error, then the problem has nothing to do with your burning apps, it's the disc itself. It's defective.

@celibate
Here's the process in a nutshell:

A: Rip the movie with DVDFAB Decrypter into your hard drive (which you have done).

B: PROCESS the VIDEO_TS.IFO file created by DVDFab Decrypter through VobBlanker 2.1.0.0 or what ever latest version is.

NOTE: Create a folder on your desktop and give it the name of the movie, create a sub-folder inside and name it VIDEO_TS, output the files from vobblanker to this folder.

C: Import/open the the files in the VIDEO_TS folder created by vobblanker using DVDshrink (use the open files tab), transcode with DVD Shrink as you normally would.

D: Burn your final VIDEO_TS files or ISO file with DVD Decrypter, ImgBurn or Nero.

You can get vobblanker here:

How to use VobBlanker, go here http://www.k-probe.com/backup-newly-release-DVD-DVDFAB-Decrypter-...

And or click on my name or the link below my sig under "DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker" for more info. The easiest way to get around is the INPUT, OUTPUT and PROCESS your VIDEO_TS.IFO file, if you DON'T KNOW where to "blank" out any junks. However, if any VTS files under "Action" stated as SKIP, then you'll need to click on "PROC.ALL" on the right to make sure all of the VTS are marked as "Process" under the Action. That is the most easiest way to go around, if you're not an advanced VobBlanker user(s).

I can blank out pretty much anything I want (i.e. blank out unwanted junks/craps, fbi warnings, useless previews/trailers, commentary, dummy cells, fake pgcs, left over encrypted sectors/cells, etc.), but that's another story.

Good luck!!

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

Okay. Let me ask this,, Does blanking on vobblanker take out the scene or the bugs by sony ?? Or does vobblanker automatically take the bugs out as soon as you process it ??

VobBlanker corrects the structure of the video files to make them DVD compliant. When Sony applies their protection to the disc it is actually embedded into the video files making them non-compliant, hence the errors when backing up.

So do i blank every scene or just the annoying advertising ?? Does VobBlanker automatically take out the bugs when you process or is that what the blanking is for ??

If you know what you are doing, you can remove (blank) the adverts, trailers, and FBI warning. When you hit Process, VobBlanker will automatically correct the structure making the files DVD compliant, but you must manually blank any other files you don't want.

Okay.. so blanking doesnt destroy the sony cells it only takes out the scene of the movie right ?? Processing alone kills these sony cells even if no scenes are blanked correct ??
