I am having troubles reading discs I have already backed up and copied, im getting read errors (fail) but when i use the original disc i get no issues at all

My guess is that you must have used poor quality discs to back up originally and they in turn have induced the read errors....

I agree with bilbo, always use quality Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or Sony, Fuji, Maxell (made in Japan) for your backups...also keep your burn speed low and don't use adhesive labels.
