I have been having a problem loading a game which requires DirectX 9.0, I ran the DirectX Diagnostic; which came up this this message:

Hardware accelerated Direct3D 9+ is not avilable because the driver does not support it. You may be able to get a new driver from the hardware manufacturer.
DirectDraw test results: All tests were successful.
Direct3D 7 test results: All tests were successful
Direct3D 8 test results: All tests were successful
Direct3D 9 test results: Display driver does not support API (DDI version too low).

I am fairly computer illiterate with computer hardware and was wondering if anyone might be able to shed some light on my pending predicament. If any other info. is required so that I may pinpoint the problem please, by all means, let me know. Thank you.

check your device manager for the brand and model of your graphics card
and post it back here
