Okay, I have a backup disc and some of the stuff that came with the computer is taking up space and I don't want to go through and remove the stuff. So can I just Reformat the harddrive?
The Pc came with Gateway Backup disc. sure it doesnt come with Sound Card files and/or Graphics files but I can download it from gateway.com

Then go right ahead n format it n see what you get yourself into lol...nah jk, well as long as you have the OS disc, your okay, also along with the drivers for your pc...other than that, the apps that was installed when you first got it, not sure about that unless you have the software that came with it and has the programs with it, then your okay, also downloading drivers from gateway will work...well hope this helps.
Like dejahboi said make sure u have everything u need b4 u reformat u would have the OS CD but make sure u have the motherboard disc and graphic drivers also.
Reformating for the pc is an great thing on occasion, but that is if every pre caution is taken...
