Can a normal HD work on a ps2?

I have a normal hard drive. 30 gigs. But is there a way to enable it to make it work? I formatted it using WinHIIP. But when i started my ps2, nothing shown. Anything i can do? ;-;

do you have HDloader or HDAdvance? if not, you need it to run the HD

You will need 3 things.

PS2 Adapter
Harddrive
Harddrive Advance 3.0(2.0 doesnt support DVD9)

If I were you, get a MAXTOR harddrive not the western ones, they dont fit unless your using it to connect it to the pc. Most western doesnt fit the ps2.

You will need fliptop cover.

If you have a modchip, you can download Harddrive advance disc someplace for free.

If you want to know what version your ps2 is, count the screws on the back of your PS2.

Note that this info is only for the HUGE PS2.
Slim PS2 fliptop sell on that site too.

By the way, on that site at ps2flip, those are swap disc . so just order the cover and go to that modchip site i gaved you and buy the harddrive advance.

I know, mostly Maxtor Harddrive fits almost all ps2. Some Western Brand would not.
