VHS Capturing problem using V-Stream DVD Maker

I need help!!
I have purchased V-Stream DVD Maker. Im using the Power Producer Software that came with it. I installed it a couple of months ago and had trouble using it. I could get signal no worries and could see the video in the program but as soon as I hit the record button the program freezed up and couldn't even 'End Task' with Ctl/Alt/Del.
But I think I found a setting somewhere to change Capture speed to 1X and it worked fine after that.
Unfortunately Ive come back to it after a few months and now it is doing the same thing, but I cant remember where it was I fixed it last time, Its driving me mad.
I had it working now it wont, Can any one tell me what that setting may have been. I would figure it must be a driver setting but where do I find settings for the driver??? Thanks
