hi there folks. i took a read around the forum and have found some ripping programs such as the all in one, one.

what i'm after is not ripping a full movie. i need to use clips from several different movies that i need to frist record from a Dvd then insert them into power point. i have permission to use these clips, but what i need to know is how to record say from (5minutes 34seconds into the movie to say 6 minutes 3seconds). know what i mean?

most proggys that i found only rip the entire movie. that or i'm not sure how to set the setting to do what i want.

you need a re author program like say for arguments sake TMPGEnc dvd author.In the mpeg chapter cut section you can achive that goal there.See image below.
