Go to http://www.moviecodec.com/topics/5164p1.html and read it.

I am having problems understanding what the half-life 2 vengence is because it says in the end I will need the original for playing it with mods and stuff...what does that mean...can someone help me...

First of all half-life 2 is nearly impossible to figure out unless you want to spend about 8 too 12 hours looking at all the code...but other then that mods are pretty simple to make.
