hi, what exactly does this mean: Can't connect to remote server. Socket error = #10022. ??? ok this is the whole story.. i had dail up and one lan card. i then modded my xbox and one thing you have to do is ftp to the xbox though the lan card. i set it up and it worked good. i recently got highspeed cable , so it required my lan card. i set up my cable and it worked. i recently wanted to get back into my xbox so instead of makeing things complicated by buying a router, i just bought another lan card and put it in place of my modem. it worked good. i set the ip manually. i set everything up right. i disabled my firewall, blah blah. i use port 21 to ftp with. so anyway everything worked. since then i have installed only like 2 programs that have nothing to do with networking. so tonight i tryed connecting to the xbox and pow. i am hit with the socket error. what is a socket error. i googled it and did not find much, or better yet. i found even less on how to fix it. i used flashfxp and it says invalid argument 10022 something and i just tryed cuteftp 6 and i got "Can't connect to remote server. Socket error = #10022." i don't know what else to say. this has to have happened to someone out there besides me. i have a softmod evox with everything set up right. at least it worked before. i have my new lan card set to 192.168.0.1 and the default gateway is the typical 255.255.255.0, the xbox it set to 192.168.0.3, password and username are both xbox. i have to cat5e cables. it goes from my can card to my switch then to my xbox. do you think that flashfxp and cuteftp use the default lan card somehow. maybe they can be configured better , but i could not find anything in the settings. maybe they are both trying to use the wrong lan card. i still have to try to ping the xbox and see what happens. when i look at the connection screen i don't see any packets transferred from the xbox. ahh, i will get right back with yal tomarrow with my pinging results. but if anyone knows any secrets i could check or what the hell that 10022 socet error is it would be great. thanks
