I'm new to xbox.

I just tryed to install a Super Aladdin-chip live. After installing it i powered on the box. The unit tryed to boot and then stops and trys again and once again stops. It trys again a 3rd time and then the eject light flashes red and green. It all worked fine before the install. I have uninstall the chip and removed the wires, but i'm still having the same problem.

Can someone tell me where or what i should be looking for so i can maybe fix the problem.

Thanks

Sorry to say that your box is FRAGing, if there is no video output here are some things to check, check the bios and ram chips and remove any excess solder you find make sure nothing is grounding out recheck the simple things such as av cables(green and orange flashing) if still no luck something on the board is probably fried(xbox came down to $99 used in eb and gamestop)

Again that sounds like your board might have died, and btw FRAG stands for FlashingRedAndGreen.

Sadly buddy its not that easy, you would need to have a modchip installed on the xbox, in order for it to work.

you could buy a motherboard and the HDD that is locked to it, off ebay (~$60), however make sure you buy the matched HDD too, or ur not going to get box working, you may want to just grab a used one the price is down to $99 and it is sure to continue to fall untill the PS3 comes out then they will probably make xbox like $30 then $20

Easiest way is, if you can boot a DVD get a slayers disc, or a Auto Installer Deluxe disc. These will install the ms dash automatically! I would recommend slayers because its a much smaller download. Its in the usual place!

If you have FTP you could do it that way. There is another post with files that claim to be the dash. (I have nothing to do with these links so ill post to where i found them). I would go the slayers route because I think everyone should have a slayers, or AID disk for these events. Its just handy.

Only if you can get some sort of dash up! You could do a hotswop, there is a guide in this forum.
