Say I dont have my original disk anymore, but only have a burnt backup DVD copy. Can i rip the ISO from the backup onto my Computer and put it on my HD and have a working copy of the game?

edit: I apologize if this has been stated somewhere else.

You're saying that you want to copy your backup to your computer hard drive and reburn it to another dvd-r? So, basically, you'll have 2 backups? You can do it with no problems. Just copy the iso and reburn it like you did the first.

Put the iso on your computer hard drive just for the purpose of storing it? That's no problem. Your iso is an EXACT duplicate (unless you rebuilt it or something) of the original disc, minus the copy protection.

If you didn't already know, the copy protection is not in the game, it's actually part of the original disc. If you look around the clear, inner hub of the disc, you can see the "protection". Looks almost like a bar code.
