When I try to play a PAL game on my NTSC PS2 the screen jumps and is black and white...does anyone know why and how to fix this?

Well I have Slim Kit Pro 3.6 but I got the game to work with color and the screen isn't jumping any more..I never noticed on the bottom of the screen you could change it to NTSC PAL and normal..but the screen isn't centered...is there anyway to center it?

Not perfectly, hence the limitations of Swap Magic's Y fix. Try patching it with Adr Patcher or PAL2NTSC Patcher with Y-fix.

37. Q. I downloaded a PAL game, how do I convert it to NTSC?
A. Use Adrenaline patcher if it's an EA game: http://www.megagames.com/ps2/ps2_utils_files.shtml#ADRenalin%20Patcher Note: I've been told this works for non EA games as well. The screen won't be perfectly centered, unless you have a modchip that forces video mode.

If you made a backup of it and patched the iso, yes. It may still be off center. That's the issue with the patchers, but it's better than nothing.
