bought a movie and wanted a copy, using DVD Shrink and during analysing it stop @ 1 minute + a few seconds with mention encrypted cannot continue
Upon advice, I got DVD Region+CSS free. Got it running and retried DVD Shrink. THis time : 9% analysing, data error (cyclic redundancy check)
appreciating some help, thanks in advance

What movie is it?
A lot of the newer movies have some type of copy protection on them, making them harder to backup. You can try DVD Shrink while running AnyDVD in the background. You can also try ripping the dsic with DVDFab Decrypter, then process the files through VobBlanker. Open the files you got from VobBlanker using DVD Shrink. You should be good to go from there.

Try cleaning your disk, or take it back and get another original. There is nothing special on this movie that would cause any protection error. The CRC error you are getting is purely disk related.

Interesting deduction.
I find curious that running it under DVDfab + AnyDVD + Voblander 2.1.0.0, the later is givin me a input error: reached end of VOB to early
any other clue ?

Yeah. That's it...
I also get CRC errors when I try to rip or shrink damaged DVDs.
Check the DVD for scratch marks, if there arn't any wash the DVD with soap. It works for me most of the time...
By the way, it's my favourite documentry...
