Hello Gents hope you can help,

Has the PSP got an autoplay function??

The reason i ask is that when i turn it on it starts whatever UMD is inserted.

I would much prefer to go straight to the 'Home' screen and select my UMD from there if i want to play a game.

If it has got autoplay, can we turn it off? or is there any other way round it apart from taking the UMD out before you power down??

Maybe its normal for this to happen, im still learning. Any idea's?

PSP bought new in UK. V1.50

Thanks in advance

yeah it checks to see if there is a umd in when you first turn it on and automatically loads up the game if there is much like most machines do (xbox,ps2,dvd and cd players etc).there is no way to turn it off but there is a way to avoid it.all you have to do is go into security settings and turn the parental control on.that way when you try to load up a game (which also includes when the psp tries to do it itself upon turning on the psp) it asks for the password.all you have to do is press O to cancel the password input thus interrupting the loading of the game and returning you to the home screen.

the default password is 0000

lol.yeah, thats what ive been doing recently since i accidentally realised, after downgrading back to 1.5 once i was finished with gta and forgot to take it out, that it could be used as the 'disc in tray' with fastloader and umdemulator to load up my isos.
