Hello, I'm new to the GC modding scene and I have ordered a Viper GC chip and I am wondering what bios to use. After looking around it seems the cobra bios are the top pick in most cases, but I am wondering if the GCOS would work with my chip. Is the GCOS just an opperating system or is it bios too? Thanks.
Apparently, some of the people have flashed GCoS to their ViperGCs since it can do video forcing (PAL game on NTSC TV or NTSC game on PAL TV) whereas the Cobra BIOS can't.
So, if you don't need video forcing use the Cobra BIOS since that's the only thing it's lacking in comparison to GCoS. Also, GCoS doesn't support ViperGC Extreme's USB ripper, so if you want to use that you have to use Cobra.
