I am having a similar problem. I use MTR to rip, then I convert to 4.4 GB using DVD2oneX, then when I burn with Toast 6 (following all of the steps in the guide), I can only watch it on my computer. Is there a way to burn it so that a DVD player (ex. Sony) can play it?

not all dvd players except DVDR media check your manual
keep your burn speed down to 4X and use good qaulity media verbatim or taiyo also if your using DVD+R media look into booktyping I dont know if that is possible with mac software
