Hi,

I know this isn't technically the right forum, but I want to get an idea on what scanner I need to get to do really high-res covers. Since most everyone here uses inkjet printables, who here scans the outer dvd covers? The scanner I have just doesn't have the DPI I'm looking for. What is the DPI on a dvd bought in the store? What can I expect to pay for a scanner that has a super high DPI?

Try the forums at generetic.org. If you're going to become a contributor there by uploading high-res scans membership will be free, otherwise it's 12 bucks and you have access to literally thousands of high-res custom work and scans. I use it almost exclusively for my printing needs and have uploaded several scans. They are truly experts there, with guides, advice, etc.
