Wifi Max for PSP Question

Hey,
I havce a question about this product (http://www.play.com/play247.asp?pa=search&searchtype=PSP&searchst...)
It is the Wifi Max for PSP allowing me to put my PSP online. The website is not very clear whether it will work through my normal internet broadband connection, or whether I will need a wireless router (which I dont have :( )
Can someone enlighten me?

i have this product, and you can just use a normal wired internet connection (wired modem etc.) but if you can get a better one for like 10 pounds mre den get it. this product just oured the energy out of me...its a real hell raiser, can have many prblems like firewall etc. but itll do fine, and is quite good at speed

i tried and tried to get the net on my psp using a wifi max for the past 7 days and i had no chance, then i phoned sony psp customer services this morning and and they told me its not possible with wifi max they said u can only do it with a router. so if theres anyone that doesent believe me then just call them ur self,i found the number online.

Lol, well my Wifi Max is on the way through the post... i dunno when it will get here but we will see! Btw, i am buying FIFA 2006 for my PSP 2moro! :D
