i am going to be buying a hidef tv along with this surge protector

it says it has a connected equmint warntee but i am wondering if that still applys if i use the surge protector with my hi def tv that i am buying instead of using it with the computer (which the website advertises this product under the computer section).

i noticed it has 2 coax cables on it too, is this disigned for use with a satalite feed coming from outside the house?
